Man released without charge over stabbing of Dublin solicitor

The man was arrested over the stabbing which took place in 2011 after new information came to light.

A MAN ARRESTED yesterday over a stabbing which took place two years ago has been released without charge.

Gardaí said the man in his 30s, who was arrested in connection with the incident in which a woman was stabbed repeatedly at her home in Donaghmede in Dublin in April 2011, was released from custody early this morning.

A file is to be prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.

The victim, a 44-year-old solicitor for ESB, was seriously injured in the stabbing.
