Man seriously injured in Co Clare crash

Gardaí in Shannon are appealing for witnesses after a 29-year-old male was seriously injured in single vehicle incident.

GARDAÍ IN SHANNON are appealing for witnesses following a single vehicle collision on the M18 at Newmarket on Fergus yesterday evening.

A 29-year-old male was seriously injured when the motorcycle he was driving left the carriageway and hit the median barrier on the motorway at approximately 6.55pm. He was taken by ambulance to Limerick Regional Hospital.

The M18 is closed to southbound traffic between junctions 10 and 11 pending examination by forensic collision investigators and diversions are in place.
