Man seriously injured in Wicklow assault

Gardai looking for witnesses to attack that put 31-year-old in hospital with serious head wound.

GARDAI ARE LOOKING for witnesses to what they describe as a “serious assault” on a man in Wicklow yesterday.

The 31-year-old man was attacked at Woodview in Ashford at around 8.45pm. He suffered a serious head injury in the assault and is now being treated in St Vincent’s Hospital in Dublin. His condition is described as stable.

Witnesses or anyone with information on the attack is asked to contact gardai at Wicklow on 0404 60140 or on the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111.
