Man in his 60s shot in the leg in Dublin pub overnight

The man was taken to St James’ Hospital.

A MAN IN HIS 60s suffered minor injuries after being shot in the leg in the Dolphin’s Barn area of Dublin last night.

Gardai in Kevin Street are investigating the shooting that occurred on the premises of a pub in Cork Street at approximately 11pm last night.

The 66-year-old man was shot in the leg when another man entered The Barn House pub wearing a balaclava. The injured man was removed to St. James’ Hospital with injuries described as non life threatening.

The gunman fled the scene.

Gardai have preserved the scene for a technical examination.

Gardai wish to appeal for witnesses who were in the area at the time of the shooting to contact Kevin Street Garda Station on 01 – 6669400, the Garda confidential telephone line 1800 666 111 or any Garda Station.
