Man in his 40s shot in Ballymun

The man is in hospital after being shot in the leg.

A MAN IN his 40s was shot in his leg in Ballymun, Dublin last night.

Local gardaí are investigating the incident, which occurred in the Coultry Crescent area at around 9.45pm.

The man was taken to the Mater Hospital, where his condition is not yet known. The scene has been preserved and investigations are ongoing.

The shooting comes just days after a garda was shot in the arm when gardaí attempted to enter a house in Barnwell Drive, Ballymun. An 18-year-old man was also injured in the incident on Thursday.
