Man shot in leg after answering front door

The man was hospitalised after the attack in west Dublin late last night.

A MAN WAS shot in the leg last night after answering the front door of a home in west Dublin.

The man in his 20s came to the door of a house in the Saggart area at around 11.40pm. He was fired at and wounded in the leg.

He was taken to Tallaght hospital, where his injuries are not regarded as life threatening, according to gardaí.

An investigation is now under way, led by gardaí in Tallaght. No arrests have yet been made.
