Man struck and killed by train in Co Dublin

Fatal incident occurred this afternoon at Donabate in Co Dublin.

A MAN HAS BEEN struck by a train and killed at Donabate, Co Dublin, today.

The incident occurred at around 4.30pm.

The man’s name has not been released.

The line was closed following the incident, with bus transfers operating to and from Drogheda, but Irish Rail says this evening that the line has reopened and “normal services are resuming”.

Last weekend, a man was struck and killed by a train at the platform of Portlaoise station in Co Laois.
