Man taken from house by masked men and shot in the leg

He’s now being treated for his injuries in hospital.

A MAN IN his 20s was taken from a house by a number of masked men and brought to a green area where he was shot in the leg.

Detectives in West Belfast are now investigating the shooting that happened in the Downfine Walk area just before 9pm.

After the shooting, one of the men involved made off on foot towards a nearby youth club – the others left the scene in a dark coloured saloon type car.

The injured man was taken to hospital to be treated for his injuries which are not thought to be life threatening.

Inspector Paul Noble said, “I am appealing for anyone who has any information about this incident which could assist us with our enquiries to contact CID in Woodbourne on 101. Information can also be given anonymously through Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
