WITH ITS BREATHTAKING views across Dublin city, the coastline and beyond, Waymark is a remarkable home that’s the epitome of luxury. Surrounded by three acres of private grounds, the proof that this is a high-end home is evident straight away. But the fact that musician Elvis Costello called the site home until he sold it all in 2003, certainly reinforces the fact.  On the market for €2,495,000, a spacious five-bed, eight-bath modern mansion spanning a whopping 554 m² sits on the land. It provides more than enough space for a large family – particularly one who enjoys hosting visitors and entertaining.

As you reach Waymark, a sweeping driveway leads you to the striking architectural exterior. Built with clear attention to detail, its stone facade and curved design exude elegance from every angle. Costello’s house was eventually demolished and this modern mansion was built here, 12 years ago, to further integrate the natural surroundings. And although a tranquil spot, it’s not isolated. Stepaside village is mere minutes away.

Inside, and you’re greeted by a sense of space and light straight away. The entrance hall sets the tone for the rest of the house with its double height atrium and large staircase. The hall leads to a living area that seamlessly flows into a family space and a central kitchen that overlooks the courtyard garden.

There’s no shortage of things to do at Waymark, whether you enjoy a spot of tennis on the full-sized court, relaxing in the cinema room or socialising in the stylish lounge. The dining and lounge area on the upper floor has floor-to-ceiling windows that frame the city views. From here, you can step onto the impressive terrace that’s ideal for dining outdoors.

The main house has four large bedrooms that all have their own en suite bathrooms. The main bedroom is interesting as it’s arranged over two levels and features a his ‘n’ hers en suite bathroom. A staircase from the main bedroom leads up to a home gym and walk-in wardrobe.

For even extra convenience, particularly for guests, there’s a self-contained apartment with separate entrance. It also has direct access to the main residence through the main hallway

Waymark also has a convenient location as it’s situated within easy reach of schools, shops and restaurants. The M50 motorway ensures easy connections to Dublin City and beyond, while nearby amenities like Dundrum Shopping Centre and Marlay Park allow for shopping and exercise.  What truly sets Waymark apart is its blend of contemporary design, serene surroundings and panoramic views. It’s not hard to see why
