Market research group to create 100 jobs in Athlone

The NPD group will set up an operation at the IDA’s park in Garrycastle, creating 100 jobs at the old Teleflex plant.

AN INTERNATIONAL GROUP providing retail market research services is to announce the creation of 100 new jobs in Athlone later today, it is reported.

The NPD group is to move into the unit vacated by Teleflex at the IDA’s business and technology park at Garrycastle, RTÉ News reports.

The company has already begun advertising for senior quality assurance engineers to be based at the plant.

The jobs will be announced by the minister for small business, John Perry, at the plant at noon today.
