The former rugby player spoke out after a young British girl died from the condition.

FORMER ENGLAND RUGBY union captain Matt Dawson has shared images of his son battling meningitis to raise awareness.

Two-year-old Sami underwent treatment at Great Ormond Street Hospital in London.

Dawson said his family had been through “two weeks of hell” but described the medical staff as “amazing”.

Sami contracted meningitis W135, a rare strain of the virus.

The Question of Sport star said he decided to speak out after a petition calling for all children, at least up to age 11, to be vaccinated against meningitis B gained over 450,000 signatures.

BBC News reports that the petition was started after two-year-old Faye Burdett died from the illness earlier this week - 11 days after contracting meningitis B.

Baffling isn’t it. Ministers making sense, I suppose his own families (for which my condolences) may play a role

Are eperbs not already mandatory in order to obtain a license? And i know of a boat that sank which was fitted wit an eperb that never operated so theres obviously technological issues.
