Maynooth-based software company to create 35 jobs

Sentenial, which offers payments solutions for corporations, is expanding its Maynooth headquarters.

A MAYNOOTH-BASED payments software company has announced an expansion of its business with the creation of 35 new jobs.

Sentenial, which offers payments solutions for companies operating in the Single Euro Payments Area (SEPA), says it is expanding its operations in order to cater for a growting client base which includes 500 corporate customers.

The company, founded in Maynooth in 2003, has sales and support offices in the UK and Belgium. It has already hired 15 people this year.

Vacant positions include opportunities for business analysts, software engineers, test engineers, technical, application and database architects, and multilingual technical support staff.

The company’s HR manager Laura Doyle said the company was “poised for significant international growth”, and said candidates with a background in payments would have an advantage in applying.

CEO Sean Fitzgerald said operating in Maynooth gave the company close access to a university as well as to Dublin and public transport services.

The company has also recently launched a CoderDojo scheme with NUI Maynooth, hoping to encourage more young people to consider careers working in IT.

Information on the positions available can be found at sentenial.com/careers.

Brilliant. When I started a business last year, I used a similar approach but alot smaller and more informal, to what fbally offered. I probably learnt more, and bought more useful strategies in to play, over cups of coffee, with other start ups than I would have had in 12 months of working at home on my own.
