Man in his 20s dies in early-morning crash in Mayo

Two other people, also in their 20s, have been taken to hospital with serious injuries.

A MAN IN his 20s has died in an early-morning crash in Co Mayo.

The single-vehicle collision happened at Churchfield, Tourmakeady at 4am.

The man who died was the front seat passenger. The driver of the car, a man in his 20s, and a female passenger also in her 20s have been taken to Mayo University Hospital in Castlebar with serious injuries.

The road at the scene is closed and an examination of the crash site is being carried out by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators. Diversions are in place.
