Three men charged over brutal killing of man in his Offaly home

The body of 64-year-old Thomas Dooley was discovered in February of this year.

THREE MEN HAVE been charged in connection with the murder of a 64-year-old man whose body was found at his house in Offaly nine months ago.

The body of Thomas Dooley was discovered in Edenderry on the afternoon of 16 February. He had sustained major injuries to his upper body and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The three men, all of whom are in their early 20s, are due to appear before Tullamore District court this morning.

The men were arrested this morning in Dublin, Kildare and Offaly, and are being held at Tullamore garda station.
