Men arrested in connection with alleged Cork sexual assaults released

The men were arrested after two girls were allegedly assaulted after a concert in the city.

TWO MEN ARRESTED in connection with a pair of alleged sexual assaults in Cork have been released without charge.

Two girls aged 18 and 19 were allegedly assaulted after attending a Jason Derulo concert in the city on Thursday night.

The girls later contacted gardai to say that they were sexually assaulted by two men in a vehicle.

Gardai arrested two American men aged 41 and 32 at around 4am and questioned them at Bridewell Garda Station.

The men were released last night and a file is being prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.

Forensic examinations are being carried out as part of the investigation.
