Man in serious condition after being hit by truck on Merchants Quay

The road is currently closed.

A MAN IS in serious condition in hospital this morning after being hit by a truck on Merchants Quay in Dublin.

The incident occurred at 6.50am. The man in his late 20s was hit by a truck and seriously injured. He was taken to St James’ Hospital by ambulance.

No one else was injured in the incident.

The road is currently closed to facilitate a forensic collision examination and diversions are in place.

The road is expected to remain closed for at least another hour.

Gardaí are asking witnesses to contact them at Kevin Street garda station on 01 6669400, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111 or any garda station.
