Met Éireann issues weather warning

It’s going to be a windy one.

DON’T WORRY, IT’S not snow.

Met Éireann has issued a weather warning as strong and gale force winds are expected later today.

The weather forecasters predict that everywhere across the country will become “very windy” from 3pm.

Those conditions will probably last right through the night and into the early hours of Sunday morning.

Strong to gale force south-to-southwest winds and gusts of 80 to 110km/h are expected. The worst affected areas will be in coastal counties of the south, west and north.

There is also a risk of up to 120 km/h gusts in exposed parts of the northwest later today.
