An LA court is trying to decide if there is sufficient evidence to try Dr Conrad Murray for involuntary manslaughter

Michael Jackson's doctor asked at death bed if anyone knew CPR, court told

Pre-trial hearing of pop star’s physician hears evidence from bodyguard at the scene.

A PRE-TRIAL HEARING for Michael Jackson’s doctor is already issuing some shocking details about the pop star’s death. Dr Conrad Murray, who attended Jackson’s final moments, allegedly crouched next to Jackson’s bed “in a panicked state asking, ‘Does anyone know CPR?’”

The allegation came from Jackson’s head of security Faheem Muhammed during the hearing of evidence in a pre-trial which will decide whether there is “probable cause” to try Dr Murray on an involuntary manslaughter charge in relation to Jackson’s death.

Security chief Muhammed told  the hearing at the Los Angeles County Superior Court yesterday:

I looked at Alberto because we knew Dr Murray was a heart surgeon, so we were shocked.

When asked if Murray was asking merely for assistance in carrying out the CPR procedure because he was tired, Muhammed replied, “The way that he asked it is as if he didn’t know CPR.” At the time, Michael Jackson appeared to be dead with his eyes and mouth open, CNN reports.

The hearing has heard from prosecutor David Walgren that Murray used “ineffectual CPR with one hand” on a soft surface, while Muhammed said that he didn’t see Murray perform CPR on Jackson before emergency services arrived at the scene.

The pretrial hearing continues.
