Poll: Would you re-elect Michael D Higgins?

The President has indicated he may yet run for a second term. But would you vote for him?

PRESIDENT MICHAEL D Higgins has refused to rule out running for re-election despite previously pledging to do only one-term.

While on an eight-day trip to the United States, the President has told reporters that he is not saying yes or no to the prospect of running for re-election in 2018 at this moment, according to RTÉ.

Higgins, 74, said on the night he was elected in 2011 that he would not seek a second term but that position appears to have softened somewhat.

So, if he did run again, would you vote to re-elect Michael D Higgins?
