Someone has come up with a way to make the middle seat in a plane more comfy

No one likes sitting in the middle, but someone has to.

NO ONE LIKES sitting in the middle seat on a plane.

You’re squashed between two other people, you haven’t an arm rest of your own and you always have to inconvenience someone if you need to go to the loo. Yes, it might be a very first world complaint but sitting in the middle seat stinks.

But a new concept thought up by Hank Scott of Molon Labe Designs could help ease the discomfort, Mashable reports. The ‘Side-Slip Seat’ consists of aisle seats which slide on top of middle seats creating more room while passengers get on and off board.

To make this possible, the middle seat is set lower than those on either side and it is also a few inches back giving at least the impression that you have a bit of your own space.

And any extra space is a welcome relief when you’re piggy in the middle.

For now this is just an idea but the designer is working to get it certified so it could be used in commercial aircraft.
