Who would you support to lead a minority government?

Talks between Fine Gael and Fianna Fáil are set to get underway again today.

IT HAS BEEN over six weeks since the country went to the polls in the general election.

Since then there has been little progress in the dilemma of who will lead the next government, with Fianna Fáil and Fine Gael both angling for position.

Today talks will resume between the two parties, with the aim of forming a government that would be able to sustain long enough to pass three budgets.

So we want to know: Who would you support to lead a minority government?

Poll Results:

Fianna Fáil (7341)
Fine Gael (6927)
Not sure (4955)

Outstanding rescue by the crew of R116 in very difficult conditions. The winch man particularly went above and beyond. Well done !!

Fair play to all involved in the rescue, especially since our coastguard service is voluntary.

So happy to hear he’s recovering well after being reported a critical yesterday. Glad that he was wearing a life jacket which may have helped save him. Well done to the coast guard and recovery team.
