Gardaí search for man missing from Athlone for eight days

Anthony Carberry may been last seen walking alongside the N4 road in Westmeath.

GARDAÍ HAVE ASKED the public for help in finding a 50-year-old man who has been missing from Westmeath for more than one week.

Anthony Carberry has not been seen since 18 July.

Gardaí in Mullingar have appealed to anyone who may have seen a man walking on the N4 road from Mullingar to Edgeworthstown between 11.30pm on Friday 18 July and 5am on Saturday 19 July to contact them.

Anthony is described as being 6 feet 4, of stocky build and with brown hair. When he was last seen he was wearing blue tracksuit bottoms and a grey t-shirt.

Gardaí have asked anyone with information to contact Mullingar garda station on 044 938 4000.
