Diver exploring wrecks missing off Donegal

The man was reported missing yesterday afternoon.

A SEARCH FOR a missing diver has resumed this morning.

The man was reported missing yesterday afternoon. It is believed he was part of a group exploring wrecks north of Fanad.

The Sligo-based Coast Guard Rescue 118 helicopter and RNLI Lough Swilly all-weather lifeboat are involved in the search. They were joined last night by local vessels.

No progress was reported and the search has resumed today.

    Wreck diving can be very dangerous and disorientating – with entanglement a major issue.

    65m depth decompression stops different gas mixes at different stops. It’s very important to get everything right. Saw rescue 118 flying out this morning.
