Missing man's body found in Derry

Police are not treating the death as suspicious

THE BODY OF a man has been found in water in the Newbuildings area of Derry by Community Search and Rescue.

The body has been identified as that of 39-year-old Sean Diver from Strabane, who has been missing since 27 January.

At this time his death is not being treated as suspicious.

Chief Inspector Ivor Morton said: “Police remain in contact with the family of Mr Diver and I would like to take this opportunity to offer my sincere condolences to them and Sean’s friends at this difficult time.”
