Missing man Joe Stephens found 'safe and well'

Gardaí are thanking the public for their assistance following recent appeals.

GARDAÍ ARE THANKING the public for their assistance in responding to recent appeals concerning a missing Co Galway man after he was found safe and well.

Joe Stephens, 53, of Oranmore was reported missing earlier this month after visiting a friend in Ferbane, Co Offaly.

Oranmore gardaí subsequently issued appeals calling on the public for any information about his whereabouts.

This morning, gardaí issued a statement saying that Stephens had been located “safe and well”.
