Gardaí launch separate appeals to find missing man and teenage boy

A 35-year-old man and 17-year-old boy have gone missing from Maynooth and Ballyfermot respectively.

GARDAÍ HAVE APPEALED for the public’s help in finding two males who have gone missing in separate incidents.

Marcin Michalak (35), a Polish national, has been missing from his home in Maynooth, Co Kildare since Sunday, 17 April – when he was last seen in a supermarket in the town.

He is described as being 5 foot 9 inches in height, with a tight haircut and a partial beard. When last seen he was wearing blue jeans, a black hoodie with red writing on it and beige walking shoes. He was known to carry a small black backpack.

Marcin was driving a Grey Mazda 6 car – 04 WX 203 – which was located by a routine garda patrol at Luggala, Co Wicklow close to a forest area and trails in Wicklow National Park.

Gardaí have said they are concerned for Marcin’s welfare and have asked anyone with information to contact Leixlip garda station on 01 666 7800, the Garda Confidential Line 1800 666 111 or any garda station.

Ballyfermot

In a separate appeal tonight, gardaí are seeking the public’s assistance in tracing the whereabouts of Paul Long.

The 17-year-old has been missing from his home on Colepark Road, Ballyfermot, Dublin since last Sunday, 1 May.

Paul was last seen when he left his home on Sunday evening at about 7pm. He is described as being 6 foot 1 inch in height, of medium build, with blue eyes and blonde short hair. When last seen he was wearing a black jacket with black tracksuit bottoms and yellow runners.

Gardaí are concerned for Paul’s welfare and have urged anyone with information that might help find him to contact Ballyfermot garda station on 01 666 7200, the Garda Confidential Line 1800 666 111 or any garda station.
