Monaco prince hospitalised after brawl in New York bar

The 24-year-old prince, the son of Princess Caroline of Monaco, was briefly hospitalised after the brawl.

A grandson of the late Princess Grace of Monaco has been briefly hospitalised after a brawl in a New York City nightclub.

Prince Pierre Casiraghi, the son of Princess Caroline of Moncao, suffered cuts to his face during the brawl.

A lawyer who represents the 24-year-old prince has told The Associated Press that Casiraghi was treated at a hospital and released after the brawl. Lawyer Richard Golub says Casiraghi’s group did not “instigate anything” or provoke the attack.

Former nightclub owner Adam Hock was charged with assaulting the prince and three friends at the Double Seven nightspot in Manhattan’s Meatpacking District.

But Hock tells the New York Post the prince and his entourage “were being completely obnoxious,” and verbally abusing women with him.

Also punched in the melee was shipping heir Stavros Niarchos III, the ex-boyfriend of socialite Paris Hilton.
