Man (50s) dies after motorcycle hits wall in Waterford

He was rushed to hospital but pronounced dead a short time later.

A MAN IN his 50s has died after his motorcycle struck a wall in Co Waterford.

The crash happened this evening at around 5.15pm on the R448 just outside Waterford City.

He was rushed by ambulance to University Hospital Waterford, but was later pronounced dead.

Diversions are currently in place as gardaí prepare to carry out a forensic examination. The local coroner has been notified.
