Motorcycle driver in his 40s killed in crash with SUV

It happened at this afternoon at around 1:30pm.

A MAN IS his 40s has been killed in a crash in Monaghan.

He was the driver of a motorcycle that crashed with an SUV.

He was pronounced dead at scene and his body was taken to Our Lady of Lourdes hospital Drogheda.

It happened this afternoon at around 1:30pm on the N2 at Broomfield in Castleblaney.

The road at the scene is closed to facilitate Forensic Collision Investigators, diversions in place.
