Motorcyclist dies after crashing into telegraph pole

A 31-YEAR-OLD man has died after his motorcycle collided with a telegraph pole near Ballymena.

The incident happened at about 6.20pm yesterday evening on the Glenariffe road.

It’s understood that the man was travelling with a friend who was riding a second motorcycle. That man was not involved in the accident.

“We are keen to hear from anyone who witnessed the collision, or anyone who may have seen a pair of motorcyclists travelling in the direction of Ballymena prior to the time of the collision,” said Inspector Colin Shaw of the PSNI.

Witnesses or anyone with information concerning the accident are asked to contact the PSNI’s non-emergency number 101.
