Motorcyclist in his 20s killed in collision with car in Bandon, Co Cork this morning

No other injuries have been reported, a Garda spokesperson said.

A MAN WAS killed this morning in a collision between his motorbike and a car at Curravarahane, Bandon in Co Cork.

The incident occurred at around 11am.

The motorcyclist, a man in his 20s, was fatally injured and his body was removed to Cork University Hospital where a post-mortem will take place in the coming days.

No other injuries have been reported, a Garda spokesperson said.

The road has since re-opened now that the Garda Forensic Collision Investigators have completed their examination of the scene.

Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the collision to contact them.

Road users with camera footage (including dash-cam) who were travelling in the area at the time are asked to make this available to Gardaí.
