A 68-year-old motorcyclist was killed this afternoon

The motorcycle he was driving collided with two cars.

A 68-YEAR-OLD man was killed this afternoon following a crash in Down.

George Desmond Sherlock was driving a red Honda motorcycle that collided with two cars, a blue Volkswagon Passat and a silver Volkswagon Golf.

It happened at the Glebe Road in Annahilt, County Down at around 3.20pm.

Police are appealing for anyone who witnessed the collision or who saw any of the vehicles in the area in the time leading up to the collision to come forward.

Witnesses can contact the Collision Investigation Unit at Steeple on the non emergency number 101.
