Moy Park expansion to create over 500 jobs at three Northern Ireland sites

This is on top of 100 jobs already created by the €210 million investment.

FOOD MANUFACTURER MOY Park has announced a multi-million pound expansion that will create 528 jobs at three of its facilities in Northern Ireland.

Today’s job boost is on top of 100 jobs recently created.

The expansion, worth £170 million (€210 million), will see new process lines, an innovation centre, and a financial services centre, across sites in Dungannon, Craigavon and Ballymena.

Northern Ireland’s Enterprise, Trade and Investment Minister Arlene Foster said today’s announcement was a “huge boost of confidence in Northern Ireland”.

“We have been able to demonstrate to international investors like Marfrig [Group, of which Moy Park is part of] that we will work with them to ensure Northern Ireland is the right European location to successful grow their business.

Marfrig CEO Sergio Rial said he is committed to growing the company’s operations in Northern Ireland.

Moy Park is currently enjoying a little bit of international expose, with the well-known Irish brand appearing on advertising hoardings at the World Cup.
