ONE PERSON HAS been injured in a multi-car collision in Co Longford.
Gardaí said that the incident occurred on the N4 at Shroid outside Longford town.
The road is temporarily closed, and diversions are in place.
It is understood the person in question has been taken to hospital.
A multi-car crash also occurred on the N7 Southbound just before J7 Kill, AA Roadwatch reported.

When will people learn to slow down and have consideration for others on the road? How many dead people do we need for it to sink in.
….and learn how to drive in the correct lane on motorways instead of sitting in the middle lane!!….use correctly/ use indicators and proper lane at roundabouts…..join motorways at full speed and not join at 40km/h…..not use phones when driving……not tailgate…..
Apart from that we’re a great bunch of lads!
…..and not make 6 lane changes to pass a hogger two lanes to your right. The less lane changes the safer
Sad thing is, it’s going to get a lot worse before it gets better.. We need enforcement out on the roads, people are not afraid of getting ‘caught’ anymore.. We can bring down drink driving levels to 0%, make the Nct impossible to pass, put more ‘cash’ vans in 50kmh zones.. Waste of time!! More guards on the road is a good starting point.
