Murder investigation launched in Dublin after body find

Gardaí say they have not identified the body of a man found in Tyrrelstown yesterday.

A MURDER INVESTIGATION HAS been launched following the discovery of a man’s body in Tyrrelstown, Dublin, yesterday.

Gardaí discovered the remains in a ditch as they searched fields close to Bellgree Avenue.

The body, which has not yet been positively identified, remains at the scene.

The area has been sealed off for an examination by the Garda Technical Bureau.

Gardaí are asking anyone who may have any information regarding the incident, or who saw anything suspicious or unusual in the area in the past seven days to contact them on 01 666 7000 or via the Garda Confidential Line 1800 666 111.
