Three people arrested over death of 69-year-old man

Detectives are appealing for anyone with information about an ‘altercation’ to get in contact.

THE PSNI HAS launched a murder inquiry after the death of a 69-year-old man in the Drumtara area of Ballymena yesterday afternoon.

Two men, aged 41 and 49, and a 47-year-old woman have been arrested.

They were detained yesterday, and are still being held for questioning today.

Detective Chief Inspector Alan Dickson said in a statement that he was appealing for anyone in the area between Sunday evening and yesterday afternoon “who has any information about an altercation involving a group of people” to get in contact with police.
