Jury sworn-in for trial of man accused of murdering Sonia Blount

Eric Locke (33) of St Johns Park East, Clondalkin, has pleaded not guilty at the Central Criminal Court.

A JURY HAS been sworn in for the trial of a Dublin man accused of murdering a woman in a hotel room last year.

Eric Locke (33) of St Johns Park East, Clondalkin, has pleaded not guilty at the Central Criminal Court to murdering Sonia Blount at Room 346, The Plaza Hotel, Tallaght on February 16, 2014.

Mr Patrick Gageby SC, defending, told the court that the trial is expected to last five or six days.

It will begin this Thursday before Ms Justice Isobel Kennedy and a jury of four women and eight men.
