Man killed after being hit by SUV on the Naas Road

The road is currently closed to facilitate an examination.

A MAN HAS died after being struck by an SUV on the N7 in the early hours of this morning.

The incident happened near junction 3, Brownsbarn on the road.

A 27-year-old male pedestrian was fatally injured when he was struck by an SUV.

His body was removed to Tallaght Hospital where a post mortem will take place. The driver of the SUV was uninjured.

The road is currently closed to facilitate an examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators and will reopen by late this morning.

Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to contact them at Clondalkin Garda Station on 01-666 7600, the Garda Confidential Telephone Line 1800 666 111 or any garda station.
