Mass shooting at Tennessee church leaves one woman dead and seven others injured

Police say the gunman has been captured.

POLICE IN TENNESSEE have said they’ve captured a gunman who opened fire at Nashville church, killing a woman and wounding seven other victims.

Nashville fire department told the Tennessean newspaper that the injured were taken to hospital but that the nature of their injuries was unknown.

Metropolitan Nashville Police Department said the incident happened at the Burnette Chapel of the Church of Christ.

The woman who was killed was fatally shot in the church’s car park.

The gunman was wounded during his arrest and is being detained in hospital.
