Three new vans with a whole lot to offer

Peugeot, Citroen and Toyota all have new models out.

THE NEW CITROEN Dispatch, SpaceTourer, Peugeot Expert and Toyota Proace have all gone on sale in the last week.

Created through a joint partnership with PSA Group and Toyota, the new models will come in both commercial and passenger versions, the latter of which can seat up to nine.

There will be three different body lengths available across the various models, ranging from 4.6 to 5.3 metres while in commercial guise maximum payload weight will vary from 1,000kg to 1,400kg.

The vans will feature a range of 1.6- to 2.0-litre diesel engines with power outputs of between 95- to 120hp.

Peugeot will be pricing the Expert van from €21,520 plus delivery and including VAT (€17,553 excluding VAT).

Two trim levels will be offered with the Peugeot Expert: Active and Professional. Body styles will include a standard panel van, with crew cab and platform cab versions being available as a special order.

On the Toyota front, there is a strong range of commercial and passenger models, the latter of which is called the Proace Verso. This will appear to business users and families that have a requirement for more than the usual amount of seats.

Both eight and nine-seat models will be available, while Toyota will also offer a high-spec VIP version. This will use a more powerful 180-hp 2.0-litre diesel engine with an automatic transmission. Inside there will be seating for six and full leather upholstery.

Prices for the Toyota Proace will start at €20,495 while the Proace Verso Shuttle will be priced at €37,550, with other models expected to be confirmed soon.

Citroen is also entering the mix with its new SpaceTourer. Like the Toyota, this offers up a multitude of versatile seating arrangements and can also be stripped out quickly to act as a van when those bigger trips to flat-pack furniture stores are required.

The Spacetourer will be priced from €38,300.

The new generation Citroen Dispatch LCV has also just launched in Ireland and is available in three lengths, including an all-new version at just 4.60m as well as the core market 4.95m and 5.30m versions. The Dispatch is priced from €21,500.
