Early morning stabbing: Woman arrested on suspicion of attempted murder

A 27-year-old woman is being questioned by police in connection with the attack, which happened in the early hours.

A 27-YEAR OLD woman has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder following a stabbing in Newry.

The attack happened in the early hours of this morning in the Sandy’s Street area of the town, the PSNI’s Detective Inspector Keith Gawley said in a statement.

“She is currently in Police custody,” he added.

The BBC reports that a man was stabbed in the attack.
