• An Irish soldier who beat a woman unconscious in a random street attack, and boasted about it afterwards on social media, walked free from a court after getting a fully suspended sentence.
• Aer Lingus said that industrial action by IALPA will cause “many flight cancellations – many of which will happen close to the time of travel”.
• Three men were arrested in Co Wicklow as part of an investigation into alleged harassment of an elected official – believed to be the Taoiseach – were released without charge.
• Dublin City Councillors from the Social Democrats, Sinn Féin, People Before Profit and independents announced a new Progressive Alliance but they do not have a majority.
• A tribunal to examine how the Defence Forces handles complaints of bullying, harassment, and sexual misconduct was established.
• Recent social media posts by Ryanair which target Ministers Eamon Ryan and Catherine Martin are “downright unedifying”, Taoiseach Simon Harris said. 
• Nominations for the Green Party leadership contest opened this morning at 9am, with public declarations of support so far favouring Roderic O’Gorman.
