#THE HAGUE: Former Bosnian Serb leader Radovan Karadzic has been found guilty of genocide and sentenced to 40 years in jail over the worst atrocities in Europe since World War II.

#BELGIUM: EU justice and interior ministers held an emergency meeting in Brussels to work out a plan to address the threat posed by jihadists to Europe, following on from the terrorist attacks in the city.

#ENGLAND: Footballer Adam Johnson was sentenced to six years in prison. The 28-year-old was found guilty of sexual activity with a 15-year-old girl earlier this month.
