B&Q is fairly pricey but for some reason alot of the drills are cheaper than any where else,the one here in waterford is still closing hard to see something else going in to replace it the unit is huge.
And trade looks like its been heaving there since the closure announcement too
Sunny day in Athlone, B&Q Athlone saved good news for a change.
Not so sunny for the other Irish owned DIY stores in the Midlands – the ones that had the brains not to over extend themselves with high rents. It is also not so good for the owner of the building who signed an agreement with a big multinational expecting them to honour it. We live in an economy where the weak and stupid are rewarded (broke banks etc.) and the responsible ones get the short straw. This is leading to an inefficient system that will slowly fall apart – it’s like watching a slow motion car crash.
They should close that and move south of the border where the REAL Irish people need jobs.
