Eurovision hopeful Nicky Byrne RTÉ/Voice of Ireland

Poll: Would Ireland winning the Eurovision make everything better again?

Nicky Byrne is a 600/1 outsider to win the competition.

I DON’T KNOW if you’ve heard, but Ireland used to be pretty handy at winning the Eurovision.

Not so much recently though.

It’s been a lean two decades since Eimear Quinn last took the prize in 1996, and the bookies aren’t giving Nicky Byrne’s ‘Sunlight’ much hope of making it through tonight’s semi-final, never mind winning (he’s currently a 600/1 outsider).

Still, we can always dream.

This morning we want to know: Would Ireland winning the Eurovision make everything better again?

Poll Results:

No (9473)
Yes (4355)
Maybe (786)
