31-year-old man seriously injured after being struck by car in west Dublin

A 31-YEAR-OLD man has been seriously injured after being struck by a car in west Dublin this morning.

The incident occurred on the Ninth Lock Road in Clondalkin at about 8.15am this morning.

The injured man was subsequently taken by ambulance to Tallaght Hospital where his condition is described as being serious.

The occupants of the car were uninjured.

The road was closed for a technical examination but has now reopened to traffic.

Gardaí have appealed for witnesses, or motorists who may have captured the incident on a dashcam, to come forward.
