Open thread: Tell us about the most amazing young person you know

It’s time to encourage the next generation.

WHEN YOU’RE YOUNG, it’s really important to know that people have your back.

As you try out new things – whether it’s an adventure, a new business, a sport or just a haircut – you realise how crucial it is to have the support and encouragement of adults and the community around you.

Many of us have learnt that over the years. And so, in the spirit of praising the great youth we have here in Ireland, we’re asking you to tell us about the most amazing young person that you know.

It could be someone who persevered against the odds, or someone who set up their own business. It could be a relative, a friend or a sports-person you’ve only ever seen on TV. Whatever young person inspires you, we want to hear about it. Your stories can be about big or little achievements, impressive undertakings or just everyday kindness – all are welcome.

Let us know in the comments section all about the most amazing young person you know. Let’s celebrate their stories.
