15-year-old due up in court charged with 10+ burglaries on one night

The youth is charged with 10 counts of burglary and three counts of attempted burglary.

A 15-YEAR-OLD male is due up in court in Northern Ireland in connection with a burglary spree that took place in one night last year.

The youth will appear before Craigavon Youth Court on Wednesday 27 April.

He has been charged with 10 counts of burglary and three counts of attempted burglary and theft by officers from the PSNI’s District Policing Command crime support team.

It is understood that these are related to a string of incidents at residential properties in the Aghalee, Moira and Lurgan areas and a shop in Belfast in the early hours of 1 October 2015.

As is commonplace with incidents of this type all charges will be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service.

Comments have been turned off as legal proceedings are ongoing.
