In November 2019, an exclusive preview of the ID.3 took place in Weston Airport where pre-bookers, media and a number of newsletter subscribers were treated to a first look at the Volkswagen ID.3 in Ireland. At the event, people also learned about Volkswagen’s strategy for a cleaner, greener future.
Of course, the electricity to power this cleaner, greener future has to come from somewhere. As you would expect, Volkswagen has already put a lot of careful and clever thought, effort and technology into this crucial element in their ambition to be carbon neutral by 2050.

“The launch of the ID.3 marks a hugely significant step in motoring history, in the same way that the Beetle and Golf became icons, the ID.3 is set to start a new journey of electrification for Volkswagen,” said Volkswagen Ireland Head of Marketing, Mark McGrath.
There is a huge buzz around this car as it is the first car that we have taken a pre-booking for and buyers are now eagerly anticipating not only seeing the car for the first time, but now being able to choose their own car.
