Before you call an engineer, try these quick and easy solutions.
If your heating has stopped working, it could be something simple that’s causing an issue. Before you call an engineer, here are some tips from our experts on simple steps you can take that might help get some heat back into your home.
Check your settings
If your room thermostat is set too low, then your boiler won’t fire up. Try turning up your thermostat to see if that helps. Play the video below where our Service Engineer gives more quick tips.

Does your boiler need to be reset?
You can find the reset button or dial at the front of the boiler. Older boilers might have a pilot light instead of a reset function so check if it’s on. You can relight it according to your manual. If your boiler is locking out more than once, it’s safer to have it checked by a registered gas installer.

Check your boiler’s water pressure
Fixing low pressure on your boiler takes little more than a tweak of the water filling valve. Check the pressure gauge which is usually found on the front of your boiler. If it reads less than 0.5 bar and your system is cold, carefully use the valve to slowly increase it between 1 and 1.5 bar. Be careful not to exceed 1.5 bar.
